As a Preschool Aide Assistant, you will engage with children, support daily classroom activities, and build positive relationships that help each child feel safe, valued, and encouraged to grow. RequiredEducation and Experience:
- Must be 15 years or older at time of hire; and
- Graduation from High School or GED equivalent; or currently enrolled in school and on track for graduation.
Special Requirements :
- Discovery Preschool operates Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
- Friday hours are 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
- Applicants must be able to actively engage with preschool-aged children.
- Duties include sitting on the floor and participating in hands-on activities.
Schedule:
- Schedule will vary based on the needs of the program.
- Discovery Preschool operates Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM and Friday from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
The anticipated hiring range for the Recreation Iposition is $15.05(first step) to $15.80or $16.59(second or third step).The City of Medford determines starting pay based on an evaluation of relevant education, experience, and qualifications as provided by the applicant in their application materials, alongside others who perform work of comparable character consistent with the Oregon Equal Pay Act.
Three steps are included in this salary range, allowing opportunity for annual movement through the steps.
- Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS) retirement contributions paid by employer for part-time, year-round positions.
- Paid sick leave – one (1) hour accrued for every 30 hours worked.
