Instructional Assistant Basic Support
Eagle Point School District 9 (EPSD9) is seeking a caring, dependable Basic Support Instructional Assistant to provide essential academic and behavioral support at Table Rock Elementary. This role plays a key part in helping students succeed by supporting classroom instruction, reinforcing routines, and assisting teachers in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Located in the scenic Rogue Valley of southern Oregon, EPSD9 serves the communities of Eagle Point, White City, and surrounding rural areas. The Basic Support Instructional Assistant works alongside licensed staff to assist with small-group instruction, support individual students, reinforce positive behavior strategies, and provide classroom supervision throughout the school day. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and is passionate about contributing to a positive school climate. Bilingual candidates in Spanish are encouraged to apply. You will be a key member of the Table Rock Elementary team, helping students stay engaged and focused so they can thrive academically and socially.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and meet one of the following: two years of postsecondary education, an associate's degree or higher, or a passing score on the district's reading, writing, and math assessment. A valid Oregon driver's license and reliable transportation are required. CPR/First Aid certification is encouraged. Candidates should be dependable, patient, and able to follow the teacher's direction to support students' academic and behavioral needs.
Prior experience working with children in a school or youth setting is preferred but not required. Strong communication skills, flexibility, and a willingness to grow within a school team are essential.
