Senior Water​/Wastewater Engineer

Overview

Senior Engineer responsible for planning, design, and delivery of municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects in Medford, Albany, Newport, or Coos Bay, OR.

• Lead design for the rehabilitation or replacement of municipal infrastructure, including treatment, pump stations, storage, water distribution, wastewater collection, and stormwater systems.
• Diagnose infrastructure system operations and develop plans and recommendations for operational improvements.
• Oversee mechanical systems design (treatment facilities, pump stations, etc.), including electrical and structural components.
• Manage subcontractors providing ancillary services (geotechnical, environmental, cultural, survey, and other services).
• Manage project bidding and award, contractor coordination, construction oversight, project financing (including funding agency reimbursement), and project closeout services.
• Support clients in identifying funding sources and coordinating funding applications.
• Serve as technical authority and mentor junior engineers.
• Guide small and underfunded utility providers to modernize aging infrastructure.
• Manage project delivery to meet client needs and expectations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• PE registration in Oregon or ability to obtain an Oregon license within 1 year.
• 10+ years of experience in municipal infrastructure.
• Proven leadership in infrastructure rehabilitation and utility coordination.
• Strong understanding of water and wastewater engineering.
• Strong technical knowledge and practical field experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and client‑facing skills.
• Previous experience leading and mentoring junior staff.

Salary Range: $120,000–$150,000.
