Chief Financial Officer

Mercy Flights, Inc. is a not-for-profit mobile healthcare organization headquartered in Medford, Oregon, serving communities across southern Oregon and northern California. Founded in 1949 by George Milligan, an air traffic controller and pilot from Medford, Mercy Flights became the nation’s first civil air ambulance and has since grown into a highly respected provider of integrated air and ground medical transport, critical care transport, mobile integrated healthcare, and community-based emergency medical services.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Financial Officer will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and provide strategic financial leadership for Mercy Flights. This executive will oversee all fiscal operations of the organization, including finance, accounting, financial planning and analysis, revenue cycle, reimbursement, budgeting, capital planning, banking and lender relationships, financial reporting, and related corporate fiscal services.

The CFO also serves as the organization’s Privacy Officer and provides executive oversight for Information Technology and Telecommunications.

Education and Certification

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, financial management, economics, business administration, or a related field required.
• Master’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field preferred.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance experience.
• Minimum of five years in a CFO or equivalent senior financial leadership role.
• Minimum of five years leading direct reports and developing high-performing teams.
• Experience partnering directly with a CEO, executive leadership team, Board of Directors, and/or Board Finance Committee.
