Grants and Finance Officer – AHADI
World Vision International is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Grants and Finance Officer – AHADI to oversee project budgeting, partner management, financial reporting, and compliance for the AHADI project based in Dodoma, Tanzania.

The Grants and Finance Officer will support project budget management, track expenditures, oversee partner compliance, and ensure overall donor compliance under the AHADI project.
Key responsibilities include:
- Finance & Budget Management (40%):
Track project expenditures against approved budgets, ensure proper charging of expenses, assist with budget revisions, maintain the Fixed Asset Register, and support fleet and logistics functions. - Partner Management (30%):
Review monthly financial reports and retirement documentation from project partners, post them into the system, and perform partner capacity assessments and training to prevent disallowed costs. - Payments & Disbursements (15%):
Facilitate timely disbursements to vendors, partners, and beneficiaries while ensuring correct financial recording. - Procurement & Compliance (5%):
Maintain complete documentation for procurement transactions, ensuring compliance with donor standards and World Vision guidelines. - Reporting & Audits:
Facilitate timesheet and labor distribution reporting, coordinate project audits, and ensure all supporting financial documents are complete and audit-ready.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized institution. - Professional Certification:
Accounting certifications such as CPA or ACCA are an added advantage. - Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in grant finance or accounting within an international NGO setting. - Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in MS Excel and financial accounting systems (e.g., Sun Systems), along with skills in budget preparation, analysis, and financial reporting. - Core Competencies:
Strong organizational skills, experience managing donor funds and partner allocations, staff supervisory skills, and fluent oral and written English communication.
