We currently have an opening for a PRN Medical Assistant to join our Medford, OR team. Staff MA functioning in a specialty role is accountable for providing comprehensive, family‑centered care to patients and families in the pediatric orthopedic Outpatient Department. The MA provides the highest possible level of comprehensive care to Outpatient Clinic patients and their families under the direction of the Manager, Clinical Coordinator, or RN.
Schedule: PRN, Friday's 1/2 Day, Saturday's All Day (in‑person)
Compensation range: The hired applicant’s placement within the range is based on years of experience and departmental equity.
Responsibilities- Performs all aspects of direct patient care according to current Outpatient Clinic "Standards of Care." Documents interventions per policy and lists plan consistently
- Obtains patient history and vital signs
- Prepares and maintains exam and treatment areas
- Obtains and graphs patient’s weight, height, arm span, and head circumference according to Outpatient Clinic "Growth Chart Graphing (Plotting)"
- Lab work completed the same day ordered
- Assists with monitoring supplies and equipment with PCA/cast tech. Maintains equipment and notifies supervisor/manager when new equipment is needed
- Applies non‑corrective casts at physician’s direction
- Safely removes casts, cleans patient, covers affected limb and instructs family on skin care

Required
- Associate Medical Assistant
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Preferred
- Certification by the American Association for Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- 1 year experience as Medical Assistant
