Surgery Aide 2 ARRMC (Surgery)
Additional Position Details: FTE: 1.0 | Full Time | Variable Hours/Variable Days
Salary Range: $19.27 and up, depending on relevant experience
Shift Differentials:
- $1.21 extra for working between 3:00pm - 11:00pm
- $2.05 extra for working between 11:01pm and 7:00am
- $1.05 extra for working weekends
As a member of the patient care team, the Surgery Aide 2 works under the supervision of the RN's in the unit. Responsibilities include assisting in direct patient care and transport; transporting specimens; assisting in room turnovers; participating in equipment assembly and maintenance; and other duties as assigned to augment the nursing care team.
Position QualificationsEducation
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate as required for the position
Experience
- Experience working within a healthcare team in direct patient care areas is required
Required Certifications
- BLS:
Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon start
Preferred Certifications
- CNA: CNA or equivalent licensure (e.g. EMT)
- CSCT:
Certified Surgical Cleaning Technician - MLCS:
Mastery of Laparoscopic Camera Holding (Asante)
