Position SummaryThe Patient Support Rep 1, under general supervision, supports one to three skills (as defined by clinics) via telephone interaction. The Patient Access Support Rep answers all incoming calls as the first line of communication for the patients and clinics. Duties may include: scheduling, canceling, and rescheduling appointments per established protocols; registering patients using accurate demographic and insurance information; identifying the reason for the call and appropriate resolution;
scheduling from referrals to Specialty Clinics, identifying post op concerns and appropriate resolution, and directing calls to other departments as needed. A professional and friendly personality demonstrating collaborative interaction with patients, providers, and other staff members is integral to the success of this position.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Associate degree in business, healthcare, or related field,preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of call center or related sales and customer service experience is required.
