Rogue Community Health (RCH) is a non-profit, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) located in beautiful Jackson County, Oregon. RCH is seeking a strategic Senior Director of Risk Management to serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and a central point of coordination for organizational risk management across Human Resources, Compliance, employment law, regulatory matters, patient-related concerns, and operational risk.

This role is responsible for identifying, evaluating, prioritizing, and mitigating organizational risk while ensuring appropriate escalation, investigation, follow-through, and resolution of complex issues. The Senior Director exercises significant independent judgment and works closely with leadership, HR, compliance, and operational teams to protect the organization, its patients, and its employees.

• Lead the assessment and management of complex organizational risks involving employment, compliance, patient care, regulatory, operational, reputational, and legal matters.
• Serve as a confidential advisor to leaders navigating sensitive employee, patient, and organizational concerns.
• Evaluate incidents, complaints, investigations, claims, subpoenas, and other high-risk matters and determine appropriate action.
• Provide executive leadership with clear risk assessments, recommendations, and regular reporting.
• Oversee investigation processes and ensure appropriate documentation, accountability, and follow-through.
• Support compliance with federal and state employment laws, HIPAA, OSHA, FQHC regulations, and organizational policies.
• Coordinate with legal counsel and leadership on matters requiring legal review or regulatory response.
• Identify systemic risks and recommend practical process improvements, training, and corrective actions.
• Assist with complex accommodation, protected leave, workers' compensation, credentialing, licensing, and patient-related risk matters.

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Law-related field, Risk Management, Business Administration, Compliance, Human Resources, or a closely related discipline. Master's degree preferred.

Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in risk management, regulatory compliance, Legal, healthcare administration, or a closely related field. Experience working in a healthcare, FQHC, hospital, medical group, behavioral health, or similarly regulated environment strongly preferred. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Professional certification such as CHC, CCEP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR or comparable credential preferred
