Jackson County Mental Health is looking to hire a Licensed Clinical Supervisor on our Outpatient and Behavioral Medicine Team. The Adult Outpatient Program at JCMH serves clients in various stages of mental health recovery and well-being, with a team-wide generalized competency to work with adults 55 years and older. This clinical supervisor will work collaboratively with a team of providers including prescribers and nurses, peers, and case managers. We are looking for someone who is committed to providing and overseeing a team who strives to provide high-quality, client-centered care for adults living with serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI) in Jackson County.

This position includes some work outside of the office, as we engage with clients at various locations throughout the community, including our local acute behavioral health facility, subacute facilities, adult foster homes, private residences, and multiple community partner agency offices.

• This position includes a combination of clinical supervision and direct service duties.
• Clinical supervision duties include: review clinical charting; identify clinical training needs; coordinate with QA manager to create and provide training; work closely with program staff and management regarding meeting the needs of complex clients; liaison with community partners to identify and remove barriers to effective client care; and identify needs and resources to support caregiver wellness.
• Direct service duties for the Outpatient/Behavioral Medicine QMHP II include: oversee caseload of clients involved with Behavioral Medicine Team, complete annual mental health assessments, treatment plan reviews and short-term therapy services for clients not assigned to other outpatient QMHP IIs.
• Preferred candidate will have an interest in working with aging and older adults. Most of our clients are diagnosed with a severe and persistent mental illness, and many are somewhere within the stages of change or recovery maintenance regarding substance use disorders.
• Either experience with or an interest in developing skills with the treatment of substance use disorders is essential.

Acts as clinical overseer by instructing and mentoring clinical providers in the provision of a full range of treatment services to mental health clients; and, ensures quality clinical services are being provided by team members, including review of assessments and diagnosis, treatment plans, delivery of services, and evaluation of clinical outcomes. Performs a full range of complex professional duties and tasks with only occasional instruction or assistance in an independent and professional manner and possesses a significant level of specialized and functional expertise.
