Room Attendant

Perform any combination of cleaning duties to maintain hotel rooms in a clean and orderly manner.

Essential functions include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms, bathrooms, and halls, vacuuming, unloading/loading housekeeping cart with supplies, replacing cleaning supplies, reporting problems and maintenance repairs, communicating with supervisor room status, work progress, and all guest requests and problems, recording and turning in all lost & found items, keeping cart clean, neat, and stocked, reporting any unsafe conditions immediately, completing all other duties as assigned to include cross training, working within recognized time frames appropriate to the task, meeting expected cleaning times for rooms according to brand standard, maintaining regular and reliable attendance and punctuality, treating others with respect and behaving in a manner that is positive, productive and encourages teamwork at all times.

Physical description includes lifting and carrying average weight of 20lbs frequently, maximum weight frequently 50lbs, standing/walking up to two miles per day on cement, tile, asphalt, and carpet, reaching/overhead extension to pull items down, pushing and pulling average weight frequently 50lbs, maximum weight 150lbs, repetitive motions of bending, kneeling, stooping, and twisting.

Working conditions include exposure to fumes, chemicals, vibrations, humidity, cold, heat, dust, and noise, and adherence to the Hotel's safety standards and procedures (i.e., hearing, eye, hand protection for equipment operation).

Success factors include effectively managing time, ability to communicate with guests as well as management and team members, ability to work under time constraints, and in a fast-paced environment, following all appropriate policies and procedures while constantly striving to improve all standards of operation, following all safety procedures, and meeting or exceeding productivity standards.

Qualifications include prior housekeeping experience helpful, and must pass criminal background check.
