Field Computer Technician. Medford Move Collective

Field Computer Technician to perform hardware repairs and installations on laptop and desktop units. To succeed in this role, it is essential that you have prior experience with laptop and desktop hardware.

• This is a 1099/per call position.
• Compensation is based on the number of calls completed.
• Base pay starts at $50 per call, increasing with distance traveled.
• Pay period:
  Every Friday after the first week of work.
• Work Schedule:
  
  Monday-Friday during the day shift; candidates must be available for a minimum of 3 weekdays.
• Expected call volume:
  Typically 2-5 calls per day.
• Training:
  Complete online certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of your onboarding, at no cost to you.
• Requirements:
  Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license for customer site visits.
• Access:
  You need a computer and internet to log into your portal daily.
• Daily Routine:
  Log into your tech portal by 9 am on working days to code calls and plan your route.
• Preparation:
  The manufacturer will have completed troubleshooting and shipped any necessary parts prior to issuing tickets.
• Customer Service:
  Confirm service times with customers through your tech portal, with services conducted at customer sites (both residential and commercial).
• Parts Management:
  Collect parts daily from the designated Fed Ex or UPS store and return old parts using pre-paid labels after completing calls.

• Hands‑on experience in replacing components on laptops and desktops is required.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential.
• Comfortable with local travel on a daily basis.
