Qualifications:
- Valid Oregon Sign Language Interpreter Certification or Licensure required
- Prior experience interpreting in K-12 settings preferred
- Fluent in American Sign Language
- Able to work collaboratively with educational staff, students, and families
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable providing services onsite full time throughout the school year
Responsibilities:
- Interpret classroom instruction, school events, and meetings between students, staff, and families
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
- Adapt signing style to meet individual student needs and learning levels
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and administration to support student success
- Attend team meetings as required and contribute to educational plans
This full-time contract spans the entirety of the academic year, from late August through early June. The role is fully onsite and requires a commitment to consistent attendance and participation as a vital support to students across the district.
