Sign Language Interpreter in Medford

Qualifications:

• Valid Oregon Sign Language Interpreter Certification or Licensure required
• Prior experience interpreting in K-12 settings preferred
• Fluent in American Sign Language
• Able to work collaboratively with educational staff, students, and families
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable providing services onsite full time throughout the school year

Responsibilities:

• Interpret classroom instruction, school events, and meetings between students, staff, and families
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
• Adapt signing style to meet individual student needs and learning levels
• Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and administration to support student success
• Attend team meetings as required and contribute to educational plans

This full-time contract spans the entirety of the  academic year, from late August through early June. The role is fully onsite and requires a commitment to consistent attendance and participation as a vital support to students across the district.
