Help keep Medford moving as a Parking Garage/Parking Lot Maintenance Worker with the City of Medford's Facilities Management team. If you take pride in work you can see at the end of the day, you will appreciate the consistent core duties with enough day‑to‑day variety to keep things moving. You will keep our downtown parking garages and surface lots clean, safe, and welcoming through pressure washing, painting, minor repairs, graffiti removal, litter pickup, restroom cleaning and restocking, landscape and irrigation work, and more.

Much of the work is independent and hands‑on, with occasional interaction with the public.

Required

Education and Experience
  • Graduation from high school or GED equivalent
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Have one (1) year of experience in a general labor role
Additional Eligibility Requirements
  • Knowledge of technical machinery, such as:
  • Power tools
  • Leaf blower
  • Hedge trimmer
  • Pressure washer
Available Schedule
  • Wednesday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Salary Range

The anticipated hiring range is $18.36 (first step) to $19.28 or $20.24 (second or third step). Salary is based on evaluation of education, experience, and qualifications.

Essential Functions of the Position
  • Routine interior and exterior maintenance on parking garages and surface lots
  • Light maintenance including painting, minor repairs and pressure washing
  • Performs limited landscape maintenance and irrigation repairs
  • Opens and closes parking garage restrooms and ensures they are clean and fully stocked
  • Performs related labor duties such as cleaning, picking up litter and debris, emptying trash, graffiti removal
  • May also clear walkways, rake leaves, remove snow, or perform other incidental seasonal tasks
  • Work is sometimes performed in right‑of‑way areas
  • Performs a variety of minor routine building maintenance tasks; identifies and reports building maintenance needs
  • Adheres to safety practices and standards
  • Maintains a neat and clean appearance, arrives and remains in uniform during scheduled shifts
