We are Rogue Retreat Ameri Corps volunteers provide meaningful service that addresses critical community needs across Southern Oregon. These programs improve access to social services by reducing barriers to education, mentoring, job skills development, employment resources, family stability, and healthy futures. Volunteers spend 85% of their time serving in dedicated projects and 15% participating in civic engagement and professional development opportunities with their Ameri Corps cohort.
Through their service, they also help recruit, retain, and support community volunteers at their host sites.
The Community Engagement Coordinator will play a key role in strengthening community partnerships and increasing awareness of Rogue Retreat and their mission. By helping increase awareness in the community, attitudes towards the homeless can shift and evolve, creating more goodwill and service to those in our community who need it most. This position involves creating partnerships with programs and agencies in our community.
This position will also assist in identifying existing resources in the community and helping those in need to access them.
