Nurse Navigator
Additional Position Details: FTE: 0.75 | 30 hours per week | Part Time | Primarily Mon - Fri / 8AM - 5PM
Starting Wage: $49.33-$67.84 per hour, depending on experience
Position SummaryThe Nurse Navigator coordinates diagnostic and treatment processes and follows up at the assigned Asante facility(s). The Nurse Navigator guides patients and their families through the continuum of care and collaborative process with medical care providers and ancillary support programs; acts as a central point of contact for all medical care providers working with the patient, and facilitates evidence based nursing care;
assesses educational needs and designs, teaches and/or coordinates educational programs for patients, families and the community.
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing, or equivalent combination of education and experience, is required
- Master's Degree in Nursing is preferred
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience, including bedside patient care is required
- At least 2 years of labor and delivery experience is required
- Clinical experience in managing high-risk pregnancy, labor, and delivery is preferred
- Clinical experience caring for infants in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) is preferred
Licensure/Certification s
- RN:
Registered Nurse licensed by the Oregon State Board of Nursing is required upon start - BLS:
Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider, certified by the American Heart Association (AHA), is required upon start - RNC-OB:
Registered Nurse Certified-Inpatient Obstetrics Nurse is required - RNC-MNN:
Registered Nurse Certified-Maternal Newborn Nurse is required - C-EFM:
Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certified is required
