Position: Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg / Telemetry - $1,952 per week

Job Summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is recruiting a travel RN for a 13‑week Med‑Surg / Telemetry assignment in Medford, Oregon. Duties will be performed on 12‑hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, starting ASAP. This is a travel nursing position.

Responsibilities
  • Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families, ensuring understanding.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments following nursing standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, document changes, and report concerns to the care team.
  • Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, assist physicians during treatments, and monitor responses.
  • Maintain a safe, comfortable environment for post‑operative and medical‑surgical patients.
  • Document all patient information, vital signs, medications, and care outcomes accurately.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans.
  • Prioritize care based on acuity and clinical needs while managing multiple patients.
  • Apply infection control practices, including hand hygiene and PPE use.
  • Advocate for patient preferences and integrate them into care plans.
  • Coordinate discharge planning, ensuring smooth transitions to home or other facilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.
  • Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
  • At least one year of recent Med‑Surg / Telemetry RN experience.
  • Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
  • Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • NIHSS certification.
  • ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
  • Any additional certifications or licenses relevant to the position.

  • Assist with diagnostic procedures.
  • Ensure a safe environment and infection control.
  • Advocate for patient needs.
  • Coordinate discharge planning.

  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication.
  • Proficiency in writing, reading, and verbal communication in English.
  • PC skills.
  • Physical ability to move equipment (50-100 lbs) and maintain positions.
  • Professionalism and effective collaboration with diverse staff.
  • Fine motor skills for procedures and equipment use.
  • Ability to cope with high‑pressure situations and irregular schedules.
  • Good visual acuity and communication skills.
