American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift position at a Level III trauma center, requiring TNCC certification and at least 2 years of ED experience.

• Emergency Department setting within a short-term acute care hospital
• Level III trauma center
• Night shift schedule (3x12-hour shifts, 19:00-07:00)
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Every other weekend required
• No floating between units required
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active RN license (compact license must be in hand at time of submission)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required (NIHSS preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central line care/management
• Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Proficient in continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressor administration
• Skilled in respiratory management including BiPAP/CPAP and ventilated patient care
• Able to interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Knowledgeable in isolation precautions/PPE and triage procedures

• Provide direct emergency care including triage, cardiac monitoring, and management of critically ill patients
• Scrubs provided for ED staff
• No parking fees at this facility
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for standard travel rate
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside the 50-mile radius
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Travelers may be required to float to sister facilities within the health system
