American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with AWHONN patient ratio experience and Epic charting skills for a 13-week assignment.
Details- Labor and Delivery unit within a short-term acute care hospital
- Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:00 PM)
- Every other weekend required
- On-call required only for low census situations
- Float to other units based on unit needs, with potential floating to sister facilities
- AWHONN patient ratios followed
- Epic EMR used for charting
- Active RN license, Oregon or compact license required in hand at time of submission
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- AWHONN Advanced and AWHONN Intermediate certifications preferred
- STABLE certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required
- Skills required include postpartum care, cesarean section and vaginal delivery support, labor and delivery management, C-section circulating, sterile vaginal exams, fetal monitoring, and recognition/treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Spiral electrode placement and external fetal monitoring experience preferred
- Antepartum care and obstetrical triage experience required
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Provide comprehensive care for laboring, postpartum, and antepartum patients in an LDRP/Level I Nursery setting
- Scrubs provided; any color accepted for RN/Allied staff
- No parking fees at this facility
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process; post-offer requests may not be accommodated
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius unless applying as a local candidate
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
- Only one active submission to Providence facilities allowed at a time
