Position Title:

Warehouse Processor and Thrift Store Cashier

• Assist in any capacity in the warehouse, including pricing clothing, sorting bric-a-brac, and other tasks as needed.
• Provide polite customer service in the thrift store and support overall operations.
• Help truck drivers load and unload trucks.
• Sort clothing and bric-a-brac.
• Clean bric-a-brac, furniture, and electrical appliances.
• Assist in loading solid items such as furniture and mattresses into customers’ vehicles.
• Clear clothing and cardboard.
• Assist customers in selecting merchandise.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures.
• Answer phones in a courteous manner.
• Ring up items and make accurate change.
• Maintain a clean store environment.
• Stock merchandise.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Experience: Customer service in sales (preferred).
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to follow directions and understand thrift store operations.
• Professional presentation and appearance.
• Ability to work with diverse backgrounds.
• Positive and courteous interaction with co‑workers and the public.
• Project management skills for multiple simultaneous tasks.
• Capability to work in a busy environment with interruptions.
• Flexibility in schedule; attendance is essential.

• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist, reach overhead, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Capacity to take trash to a compactor and operate the compactor.
• Push empty and loaded carts.

• Frequent phone and in‑person contact with diverse individuals.
• Operation of an 18,000 GVW truck, power pallet jacks, tail gates, manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, gas/propane and electric lift trucks, hydraulic leveling docks, and baler.
• Use of office supplies for calculating, cataloging, inspecting, analyzing, and planning.
• Work outdoors occasionally, sometimes in inclement weather.
• Exposure to noise, smoke, heat, dust, rough terrain, and other adverse conditions.
• Work in environments containing exhaust, dust, grime, odors, fumes, and high noise levels.
• Daily contact with individuals who may exhibit hostile or assaultive behavior; require diplomatic handling.
• Large building and property requiring extensive standing and walking on hard concrete or gravel surfaces.
