About This RoleWork is in Medford, Oregon. CDL is required. Position:
Telecom/Underground Utilities Laborer/Driver.
Our contracts span the Pacific Northwest and West Coast. The role requires travel to multiple job sites across several states. As a field position, you will work at various sites as necessary.
Travel is expected and required. We prioritize local assignments that allow the team to return home each night, but flexibility to pursue opportunities elsewhere is needed.
What you’ll doTelecommunications Construction Laborer/Driver, supporting all phases of utility construction on telecom projects. Duties include placing poles, anchors, guys, aerial strand and cable, direct buried pipe, trenching cable, conventional and directional boring, placing underground conduit systems, performing inside wiring, cabling, testing, and maintenance services.
Job description overview / responsibilities- Hand dig using shovel, mechanical tools.
- Install and maintain underground telecommunications cabling.
- Operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery.
- Work in congested or remote areas.
- Maintain visual and audible contact with other crew and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement.
- Perform general construction work under direction of Foreman/ Supervisor.
- Maintain safe working habits and conditions per regulations, procedures and policies.
- Learn all crew aspects and assist operator and foreman as assigned.
- Set up, prepare, and clean up construction sites.
- Develop understanding of buried utilities.
- Lift heavy equipment and supplies.
- Travel is required.
- Must pass a pre‑employment drug screen and Motor Vehicle Report.
- Possess a valid CDL.
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 tickets in last 5 years).
- Basic knowledge of operating utility trucks and equipment safely.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and equipment safety.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, etc.
- Willing and able to work in all weather conditions.
- Prepared to work and willing to travel.
- Previous construction experience, preferably in telecommunications.
- Class A CDL is required.
- Able to perform all duties in telecommunication construction.
- Travel is a must.
This is a full‑time hourly position, expected to work at least 40 hours per week. The role operates outdoors and is regularly exposed to varying weather conditions, including extreme cold, rain, sleet, snow, humidity, high temperatures, and high winds. Work environments vary daily across terrain, traffic, urban, and rural settings. Occasional exposure to natural gas and electrical shock risk, moderate to loud noise levels.
Physicalrequirements
Stand for up to 12 hours at a time, tolerate extreme weather, follow worksite safety instructions. Requirement for lifting ~50 lbs.

Compensation rangeUSD $18.00/Hr. – USD $26.00/Hr., depending on experience and qualifications.
