Location: Canby, OR
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $25-$35/hr.

Position SummaryThe Concrete Finisher will place, finish, protect, and repair concrete for slabs, sidewalks, driveways, curbs, aprons, and related flatwork. This role requires expert troweling skills, attention to grade and slope, and the ability to deliver consistent finishes in varying weather and site conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Place, level, and finish concrete using hand tools and power tools (screeds, bull floats, trowels, edgers, jointers, walk-behinds, ride-on trowels)
- Achieve required finishes (broom, steel trowel, hard-trowel, exposed aggregate, stamped textures) to spec
- Set and check elevations, pitch, and surface tolerances; read and follow pour plans
- Apply curing methods, sealers, hardeners, and surface treatments as specified
- Perform saw cutting, patching, and surface repairs; address cold joints and edges
- Coordinate with form setters and ready-mix suppliers on timing and slump
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work area; follow all safety procedures
- Experience: 2–5+ years concrete finishing (flatwork) required; journeyman-level preferred. Commercial construction and concrete finishing.
- Skills: Strong hand/eye coordination; ability to read grades, establish slopes, and hit tolerances
- Knowledge: Mix behavior, curing practices, finishing timing, weather impacts (hot/cold/wet)
- Tools: Proficient with hand and power finishing tools; laser/screed experience a plus
- Safety: Understanding of PPE, silica controls, and safe handling of chemicals/sealers
- Lift/push/pull up to 80 lbs; frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, and standing for long durations
- Work outdoors in all seasons; early starts; occasional overtime/weekend work
- Ability to work 8–10+ hour shifts based on the pour schedule
- Must have reliable transportation, as there is no public transportation to this work location.
