This entry‑level Industrial Service Technician position will accompany a senior technician to learn installation, maintenance, and repair of our products (industrial machinery; air compressors 5‑500HP, positive displacement and liquid ring pumps, refrigerated and desiccant dryers, and vacuum systems) at various customer sites.
Responsibilities- Assist in installation, maintenance, and repair of customer equipment.
- Learn and follow safety procedures and guidelines.
- Keep accurate records of work completed and parts used.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Maintain a clean and organized service area.
- Complete the Level 1 PQS (Personnel Qualification Standard) within a predetermined time.
- Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
- Complete timecards, work orders and paperwork legibly and in a timely manner.
- Some overtime work and occasional overnight travel.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- Application of mechanical and electrical principles.
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
- Recognition of common mechanical and electrical components.
- Exert force of 50 lbs occasionally, 25–50 lbs frequently, 10–20 lbs constantly.
- Bend, twist, crawl, push, pull, reach, climb, stand in active position while working on heavy industrial equipment.
