This position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship. The Factory Project Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership by identifying, developing and executing capital projects for the factory. This position will maintain visibility to the design process and assure adherence to all established key components and project deliverables as well as directly manage overall project execution including construction and commissioning. Additionally, this position will coordinate with the client as well as various other groups inside and outside of the organization.

• Preliminary Project Development including Charter development - 20%
• Project Execution support and facilitation - 45%
• Administrative / Business support - 15%
• Safety - 10%
• Other - 10%

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS (BA/BS)
Preferred or equivalent experience and minimum 1-2 years of related work experience.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• Ability to analyze data
• Ability to using problem solving techniques to resolve issues and implement change
• Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to complete major projects in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to schedule resources effectively so continuous improvement is not sacrificed for day to day results
• Additional consideration for those that are considered subject matter experts in a particular field of engineering (process, packaging, refrigeration, etc.)
• Coaching required from Factory Engineering Manager on regular basis
• Project Management experience 1-2 years, leading on projects less then $1 million
• Leveraging PMI Project management institute stage gate procedures and tools
• Able to manage Scope, Cost Schedule and risks on small and minor projects
