We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician (Maintenance "A") to support our production and facility needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, along with a proven track record in maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support Production Needs:
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment, focusing on electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Assist in project planning and implementation.
- Identify and communicate problems or opportunities for improvement.
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on forklifts.
- Support Facilities Needs:
- Maintain HVAC, plumbing, structural, and grounds systems.
- Operate and maintain chilled water systems and compressed air systems.
- Assist with janitorial tasks as needed.
- Repair or replace existing electrical systems with a Maintenance Electrician on staff.
- Track and record daily activities and parts usage.
- Execute 6S and TPM activities as required.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Vocational school education or equivalent in six courses in five of the following areas:
- Electronics, Machine Shop (Advanced), Hydraulics, Water Treatment Systems, Pneumatics, Sheet Metal, Welding (Arc, Gas, Tig), Power Transmission, Electricity, PLC Function, Drafting/Layout/CAD, AC/DC Drives.
- Equivalent prior maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (minimum 5 years preferred).
- Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with PC applications.
- Ability to read and understand schematics and blueprints.
- Capability to occasionally lift up to 60 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and carry tools/materials for a 12-hour shift as needed.
- Strong attendance and performance record.
- Various powered and non-powered hand tools.
- Diagnostic equipment, including meters and testing devices.
- Common machine shop equipment (drill press, welding equipment, etc.).
- Computer and maintenance management software.
- Equipment manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Fork trucks, man lifts, and ladders.
- Various chemicals for water systems, cleaning, and lubrication.
