Student Affairs Student Ambassador

Penn State Brandywine is currently seeking to hire Penn State students to work as Student Affairs Student Ambassadors for its Student Affairs office. Reporting to the Student Activities and Recreation Coordinator, the Student Affairs Student Ambassador position will assist in carrying out Student Affairs initiatives including, but not limited to, New Student Orientation, Orchard Hall Welcome Crew, New Connections, Week of Welcome, Homecoming, Parents & Family Weekend, Open House, and Accepted Student programs.

In addition, Student Affairs Student Ambassadors will staff the Student Union Building Welcome Desk, Student Affairs Reception Desk, and assist with other tasks to support Student Affairs.

The Student Affairs Student Ambassador is a student leadership opening that challenges students in self-evaluation and reflection throughout their experience and develops a personal growth plan. Students in this position will gain improved work ethic, time management, collaboration, leadership, communication, and public speaking skills; have an opportunity to network with university staff; and gain an increased understanding of careers in higher education.

Student Affairs Student Ambassadors will be expected to always act in a professional manner and respect all individuals in our diverse university community. Student workers in this position are expected to read, understand, and adhere to established expectations, including a confidentiality agreement due to the sensitive nature of some Student Affairs services (e.g.: Counseling, food pantry access).

This opening is part-time, up to 20 hours per week. For full consideration, please submit a completed application, resume and cover letter. Contact Tina Brackett-Wood (tsb
5266) with questions.
