We are seeking an energetic, collaborative, and experienced Music Teacher to support our Lifeworks School System. This position would cover all three Life Works School System locations:
Media, Levittown, and Doylestown for the Academic School Year. The Life Works Schools are licensed specialty therapeutic day schools for students in middle and high school effected by social, emotional, or behavioral health challenges. Life Works comprehensive educational curriculum is individualized and designed to actively engage each student throughout the day to achieve positive, pro-social behavioral and educational outcomes. Our unique balance of academic rigor and a continuum of evidence based educational/therapeutic supports make Life Works the regional provider of choice.
Summary Of Responsibilities:
- Provide academic and functional instruction to students diagnosed with Autism or Pervasive Developmental Disorder in a school setting.
- Monitor student academic and functional achievement through data collection, observation, and other quantitative methods.
- Observe and record student progress daily.
- Develop and monitor student's IEP, reports, goals, objectives, attend IEP meetings, establish, maintain, and work toward student goals as outlined in the IEP.
- Manage student behavior through individualized motivational systems, S.M.A.R.T. Program and positive behavior support plans.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's level degree in Special Education or Music is required.
- PA certification in Special Education and/or Music is also required.
- Content area certifications preferred.
- Prior experience working with students with behavioral health challenges within a school setting is highly desirable.
