RCM Healthcare is looking for a full time Special Education Teacher for the 2026/2027 school year, working with high school students at an alternative school in Media, PA. Interviews conducted now.
Hourly Rate: $40 – $45 per hour

Position Summary As a Special Education Teacher, you will provide individualized instruction and educational support to students with disabilities in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Working within a school-based setting, you will create an inclusive learning environment that promotes academic achievement, social-emotional growth, and independence while collaborating with families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams. ResponsibilitiesSchedule / Shift
- Shift details:
School Year - Hours per week: 35-37.5
- Contract length (if applicable): full school year
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans aligned with students' IEP goals and state curriculum standards.
- Provide instruction in academic, social, behavioral, and daily living skills within the least restrictive environment.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student success.
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in IEP meetings and required reporting.
- Supervise students in the classroom and other assigned settings while maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Required:
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related education field. - Preferred (if applicable):
Dual certification in Special Education and a content area.
- Required:
Valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate in Special Education. - Additional certifications (if applicable):
Appropriate content area certification preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and team-building abilities.
- Proficiency with computers and educational software programs.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently while remaining flexible and reliable.
- Experience working with students with special needs preferred.
