Instructor
- Sonography/ Ultrasound and Clinical Coordinator
The Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, supporting student success, maintaining compliance with accreditation standards, and contributing to curriculum development and program growth.
Teaching- Teach assigned courses and provide student tutoring.
- Identify and support at-risk students through the Early Intervention System.
- Conduct clinical/work-site visits as appropriate.
- Maintain daily attendance records.
- Submit mid-term and final grades according to college requirements.
- Recommend instructional materials and textbooks.
- Stay current with industry trends and evidence-based practices.
- Develop assignments that support course learning outcomes.
- Create hands-on learning experiences reflective of real-world practice.
- Review and update curriculum as needed.
- Participate in special projects assigned by the Program Director.
- Maintain regular office hours for student advising and consultation.
- Participate in student retention initiatives.
- Assess student learning outcomes in accordance with established assessment plans.
- Support CAAHEP accreditation, compliance, and institutional effectiveness initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and ethical practices.
- Participate in accreditation reviews and Middle States activities as needed.
- Contribute to the achievement of the College's strategic goals.
- Represent the College professionally in public settings.
- Build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and external partners.
Preferred:
- Master's Degree
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate Degree
- 3 years of professional experience
- 2 years of teaching experience
- Current licensure (if applicable)
- Active involvement in professional organizations or activities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with learning management systems such as Canvas, Blackboard, or Moodle.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
