Assistant Manager – Mad Grizzly Bistro Bar, Jasper, AB

Position Summary: The Assistant Manager supports day‑to‑day operations of Mad Grizzly Bistro Bar, ensuring high‑quality service, profitability, and compliance with provincial liquor legislation. This full‑time role pays $26/hour.

• Analyze and develop budgets to maintain profitability.
• Evaluate daily operations and adjust food preparation, menu pricing, and inventory.
• Monitor revenue, labor costs, and staff performance.
• Plan and organize staff schedules, recruit, train, and supervise employees.
• Maintain cash, balance sheets, and related financial reports.
• Enforce health & safety regulations and liquor legislation.
• Negotiate supplier contracts and client catering agreements.
• Participate in marketing and promotional activities.
• Handle customer complaints and ensure excellent service.
• Oversee event planning and execution.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred; hospitality‑management experience is an asset.
• Ability to manage finances, analyze budgets, and keep accurate records.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proficient with MS Office suite, point‑of‑sale systems, and electronic cash registers.
• Valid criminal record check; ability to pass physical and health screening.
• Flexible with evening, night, day, and weekend shifts.
