Job details:
Pay $20 an hour. Full-time.
Location:
96 Geikie St, Jasper, AB.
- Act as Location Manager when the Manager is absent due to vacation or other leave.
- Prepare and verify daily cash reports; ensure accurate cash, debit, and credit card transactions.
- Place and receive food orders; coordinate food and beverage inventories.
- Interact with customers and maintain the highest level of customer service; receive payment for all services provided.
- Listen to and resolve customer complaints.
- Ensure the restaurant area is clean and organized at all times.
- Serve tables and bartend as required.
- Uphold environmental stewardship standards expected of all employees.
- Report maintenance and repair needs to the Location Manager.
- Assist the Location Manager with performance management of employees.
- Ensure opening and closing checklists are up to date and properly used daily.
- Provide detailed daily communications to staff via lineups and floor discussion, to leadership via shift passes, and produce shift reports outlining the shift in detail.
- Motivate staff and foster team building and bonding.
- Lead GEM (Guest Experience Management) and tour functions; print and review BEOs (Banquet Event Orders) in advance.
- Set up and service all events – ensuring no details are missed and the guest experience is seamless.
- Complete GEM and Tour Billing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Hospitality certification preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years of restaurant operations experience with supervisory experience.
- Proserve and WHMIS certification required.
- Excellent knowledge of food & beverage service; good knowledge of wine, spirits and beer.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, guest and public relations skills.
- Neat and clean appearance and work habits.
- Ability to accept and give direction; motivate, train and provide ongoing coaching.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and within a team.
- Positive attitude; ability to handle guest challenges and solve problems as they arise.
- Able to work all shifts, including split shifts.
