About the Role
As a Territory Manager in the South East region of Alberta, you will drive new business growth and ensure customer success. You will execute sales strategies, build strong relationships, meet ambitious growth targets, and serve as the on‑the‑ground representative of Halter. The role requires a proactive, hands‑on approach to expansion and long‑term satisfaction, with frequent travel across the territory.

What Your Day Could Look Like

Prospecting New Business:
Attending cattle auctions, working with livestock associations, and generating outbound leads while managing inbound prospects.

In‑Field Sales:
Meeting potential customers on ranches, demonstrating Halter’s technology, and building rapport through shared experiences.

Expanding Existing Opportunities:
Upselling to current customers and discovering new ways to deliver value.

Hitting Sales Targets:
Managing a pipeline, qualifying leads, and achieving sales goals.

Customer Account Management:
Maintaining long‑term relationships, providing support, and addressing challenges after the sale.

Territory Ownership:
Representing Halter in the region, engaging stakeholders, and ensuring no area is neglected.

Customer Onboarding:
Overseeing a seamless transition from sale to deployment of Halter’s solutions.

Field Learnings & Feedback:
Advocating for customer needs and gathering insights.

Collaborating with Support Teams:
Resolving customer issues quickly and ensuring full support.

Attending Industry Events:
Generating leads and deepening relationships at events like Cattle Con and local associations.

Contributing to the Canadian Sales Strategy:
Sharing insights to optimize the sales process for the Canadian market.

Driven Attitude & Communication skills – results‑driven, proactive, and adaptable.

Ranching / Cattle Experience – deep knowledge of cattle operations and industry challenges.

Sales & Customer Success Expertise – a history of creating opportunities, negotiating, and building lasting relationships.

Territory Management experience – managing a large territory with balanced sales and customer success focus.

Problem Solving & Collaboration ability – resourceful, cross‑functional teamwork.

Willingness to Travel – frequent travel within the territory.

Bonus things you could bring along to the role

Familiarity with precision agriculture or virtual fencing technologies.

Background in customer‑facing roles within ag‑tech.

Background in selling SaaS solutions in a B2B environment.
