The Assistant Operator supports the operation of specialized industrial equipment, assisting in tasks like equipment setup, site preparation, and hydro-excavation. This role ensures safety compliance while contributing to infrastructure maintenance and excavation projects.

$23.00 per hour and up based on experience with many opportunities for pay increases and career advancement!

RESPONSIBILITIES

Requires travel to assigned job location/assignment.

Operates the on-board hydro-vacuum system outside the truck and performs other duties such as clean-up, mobilization, and general maintenance of the equipment.

Communicates effectively and professionally and demonstrates a strong customer service focus in all interactions.

Troubleshoots minor mechanical issues and performs minor repairs to equipment as needed.

Attends safety meetings and ensures all tasks are always completed in a safe and professional manner.

QUALIFICATIONS
What You'll Need For Success:

Educational high school diploma or GED.

Previous hydrovac, trucking, vacuum truck or other related industrial experience preferred.

Must have a valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record.

CSO safety card certification is required. (If applicant does not hold this certification, Badger will pay for computer-based training with applicant completing on-line course within 5 days of hiring. Certification is the property of the applicant.)

Capable of working variable shifts with extended hours.

Must be able to hear and distinguish emergency signals and instructions while on duty.

Must be able to repetitively sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach, and crawl.

Must be able to repeatedly lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Must be able to work in all outdoor elements for extended periods of time.
