Position Summary

Acuren Wind Canada Inc. is recruiting for Wind Turbine Maintenance Electricians to support projects throughout Western Canada for the 2026 season!
Position Details:
- Rotation/Shift: Monday to Friday 8 to 10 hrs. per day
- Start Date:
Approximately June 29, 2026. - Location:
Remote locations throughout SK & AB - Travel: 6 weeks on 1 week off.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wind turbines.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems within SGRE turbines.
- Inspect and ensure repairs on wind turbine blades are completed to company standards.
- Follow SGRE-specific safety procedures and LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) protocols.
- Utilize SGRE diagnostic tools, software, and documentation to carry out repairs.
- Work as a member of the team with a safety-first approach and document repair and inspection findings.
- Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
- Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
- Work at heights of more than 300 feet via rope access or suspended platform, in confined spaces and for extended periods of time in remote locations in variable climates and environments.
- Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician certification
- Fourth year Electricians will be considered
- SGRE certification (Basic Tech, Maintenance Tech, Troubleshooter) - Strong Asset
- GWO certifications (BST, BTT, ART, etc.) - Strong Asset
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in wind turbine service or equivalent industrial maintenance
- Strong Asset - Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Comfortable working at heights up to 100m and in confined spaces.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driver's abstract; ability to travel extensively.
- Safety Certifications in First Aid CPR/AED Level C (prerequisite), Fall Protection/Working at Heights, Confined Space, and CSTS
2020 are considered assets.
