Resident Heavy Equipment Technician

Finning Canada seeks a Resident Heavy Duty Mechanic based in Medicine Hat. Bring your diagnostic and maintenance skills to our dedicated team servicing Caterpillar machinery.

As the world’s largest Caterpillar dealer, Finning Canada is looking for a Resident Heavy Duty Mechanic to perform repairs and maintenance on CAT equipment. You must have a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification and thrive in a safety-conscious, customer-focused environment while working autonomously.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on CAT equipment

• Engage with clients and provide product support

• Prepare and submit technical documentation accurately

• Work collaboratively with the Service Supervisor

• Use Caterpillar SIS and ET daily for efficiency

Requirements:

• Required Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification

• Minimum 5 years’ experience with CAT machinery repairs

• Valid driver's license with a clean abstract

• Familiarity with Finning systems like Cost watcher and DBS

• Computer literate and detail-oriented
