SOUTHLAND is on the lookout for a Journeyperson Mechanic to join its dedicated maintenance team. This position encompasses bus maintenance and repairs, demanding strong diagnostic skills and effective problem-solving. Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct ongoing maintenance and repairs on school buses
• Diagnose and resolve equipment issues promptly
• Perform CVIP Inspections as needed
• Respond effectively to roadside breakdowns
• Complete all required documentation for repairs
Requirements:
• Journeyperson Ticket in Automotive Mechanics
• Own a complete set of hand tools
• 2-5 years experience in a similar role
• Valid driver's license;
Class 2 or 3 is advantageous
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
