We are looking for an Assistant Controller to join our team in Medina, OH. This role will support the Controller in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
This position is well-suited for someone who is comfortable being hands-on, understands the close process in detail, and can help maintain structure while also improving how things are done.
Responsibilities- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
- Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules
- Maintain general ledger integrity and oversee account reconciliations
- Support the development and enforcement of internal controls
- Work with external auditors during audit cycles
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Help identify and implement process improvements within accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience supporting close processes and audits
- Comfortable working in a hands-on environment
- CPA or working toward certification is preferred
