The Deputy Court Administrator is responsible for assisting the Court Administrator as directed in the management and supervision of non-judicial court operations and administrative legal work and acts for the Court Administrator in the Court Administrator’s absence.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Management, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- At least 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in court administration, government, or a similar administrative/management role.
- Experience with budget preparation, fiscal management, and purchasing.
- Familiarity with human resources processes, including payroll and leave administration.
- Experience with case management systems, workflow development, or court operational procedures.
- Strong leadership, supervisory, and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze policies and procedures, develop improvements, and implement changes effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with judges, staff, attorneys, and the public.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity when handling sensitive court matters.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information.
- Demonstrated dependability, reliability, and excellent attendance record.
