Job Overview

Set In Stone Contracting LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Estimator / Project Manager to join our growing team. This hybrid role involves preparing competitive bids and cost estimates for concrete and municipal construction projects while also assisting in the oversight of awarded work. The ideal candidate understands the real-world cost, scheduling, and materials involved in municipal and concrete construction, and brings a blend of technical know-how and collaborative communication to every project.

• Cost Estimation:
  Analyze blueprints, drawings, and project documents to develop accurate estimates for materials, labor, subcontractors, and equipment.
• Project Budgeting:
  Evaluate cost-effectiveness of project options and monitor actual costs versus estimates throughout project execution.
• Client & Vendor
  
  Collaboration:
  
  Consult with vendors, subcontractors, and public clients to resolve scope or pricing questions.
• Documentation:
  Maintain accurate records, prepare budgets, and support the development of bid packages and project plans.
• Software Utilization:
  Use digital estimating and project management tools to calculate costs and assess financial feasibility.
• Internal
  
  Collaboration:
  
  Work closely with the field and management teams to ensure seamless project handoff and execution planning.

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction estimating or project management, ideally in municipal or concrete construction.
• Associate’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Hands-on understanding of concrete roadwork, public infrastructure timelines, and related cost factors.
• Knowledge of ODOT specifications and bidding requirements is a strong plus.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills to present estimates clearly and collaborate across departments.
• Proficiency with construction estimating and office software.

Full-time

Monday–Friday

Hybrid Role: A combination of in-office, remote estimating, and site visits as needed.
