Educational Aide – Medina County Career Center

As an Educational Aide, you'll work alongside teachers and school staff to provide individualized support, encourage positive social interactions, and help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. Every day offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

What You'll Do

• Support students in achieving their greatest potential, developing independence, making successful transitions, and building positive relationships with their peers.
• Provide individualized assistance under the direction of the classroom teacher.
• Encourage independence while supporting students' academic, behavioral, and daily living needs.
• Assist with classroom activities and instructional support.
• Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other educational professionals to support student success.
• Transport students when needed after obtaining the required certification.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Ohio Educational Aide Permit or the ability to obtain one before employment.
• Experience working with students with disabilities in a classroom setting.
• Valid Ohio driver's license.
• Ability to obtain Van Driver Certification within six (6) weeks of employment.
• Ability to obtain Para Pro/ESEA Certification within six (6) weeks of employment.
• Background in sports medicine or exercise science is a plus, but not required.
• Successful completion of all required criminal background checks.
• A caring attitude, patience, flexibility, and a genuine desire to help students succeed.

Compensation & Schedule

• Salary Range: $17.75 – $20.59 per hour
• Schedule: Up to 29 hours per week
• Work Days: Monday through Friday
