Banquet Server

A banquet server is responsible for providing excellent food and beverage service to guests at weddings, reunions, meetings, parties, and other catered events.

The Banquet Server assists with the setup, service, and cleanup of banquet events while providing friendly, professional, and attentive service to guests. The server works as part of a team to ensure each event runs smoothly and guests have an enjoyable experience.

• Set up tables, chairs, linens, place settings, and dining areas before events.
• Greet guests and provide courteous, professional service.
• Serve food and beverages according to the event's service style.
• Refill beverages and assist guests with their needs.
• Clear plates, glasses, and silverware throughout the event.
• Maintain clean and organized dining and service areas.
• Follow proper food-safety and sanitation procedures.
• Help with event cleanup and resetting the room after the event.
• Work closely with the banquet captain, event coordinator, kitchen staff, and other servers.
• Handle guest requests and concerns in a polite and professional manner.
• Follow venue policies and procedures.

• Friendly, dependable, and customer-service oriented.
• Able to work well as part of a team.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Able to lift and carry trays, dishes, and supplies as needed.
• Previous banquet, restaurant, or hospitality experience is helpful but not always required.
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
