The Aftermarket Americas Parts Fulfilment Operations team leads the entire project lifecycle, from order entry through project execution and customer delivery.
As a Project Manager, you will lead customized projects, drive operational excellence, and ensure customer satisfaction in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role requires functional leadership, advanced coordination skills, and accountability for project outcomes across multiple departments and stakeholders.
This role will be based out of either Buffalo, NY;
Medina, OH; or Stafford, TX with the option of a hybrid schedule.
- Take full ownership of projects from order receipt through delivery, ensuring financial, schedule, quality, and customer satisfaction objectives are met.
- Lead cross-functional teams (engineering, supply chain, quality, logistics, sales).
- Develop and manage project schedules, confirming budgets and resource plans.
- Manage project by overseeing milestone tracking, reporting, and follow-up to ensure on-time delivery and margin protection.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks to project performance.
- Serve as primary point of contact to customers, managing communications, escalations, and expectations.
- Drive adherence to project management best practices and internal procedures.
- Represent Howden, a Chart Industries Company, with professionalism and accountability.
- Share best practices and foster a culture of learning and operational excellence.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project flow and profitability.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management within an engineering, heavy industrial or construction firm.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex customer accounts.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, or 10 years’ experience in project management-related roles evidencing similar job responsibilities and outcomes.
- Experience in financial aspects of project management (margin, variance, cash flow).
- High ethical standards, teamwork, and compliance with regulations.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Advanced problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
- Ability to travel on occasion, as required.
- Experience in matrix organizations, using influence and indirect leadership.
- Experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX-4 or JD Edwards.
- Project management certification (i.e. PMP).
- Experience in rotating equipment and general air and gas handling industry.
