Manual Machinist – Medina, OH

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are a family owned and operated business in Medina, OH that is seeking a highly organized and efficient manual machinist.

This is not a CNC position. We need someone with high mechanical aptitude. Please call Kate at  ext 216 with questions or to apply.

• Complete understanding of all hand measuring devices
• Ability to perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Ability to read and understand complex blueprints
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
• Ability to work an 8-hour shift, 7:00am-3:30pm

• The Machinist position sets up and operates manual mills and lathes with minimum supervision
• Performs necessary hand operations
• Follow all safety procedures and work in a safe manner
• Read and follow work order instructions
• Perform machine setup without supervision
• Operate machine to accurately produce parts within tolerances with little or no supervision
• Operate all lifting devices
• Assist with setup for other shop employees
• The employee is regularly required to stand for prolonged periods of time and occasionally must lift weights up to 50 pounds
