Burn​/Saw Operator - Third Shift

Job Description

A manufacturing company is seeking an individual to set up, operate, and maintain burn or saw equipment to produce quality parts that meet specifications and production standards. Work hours are Third shift, Monday through Thursday from 8 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. with occasional Friday.

Job Duties:

• Set up and operate burn or saw machines
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and a tape measure
• Troubleshoot and make adjustments, mounts, replace blades, and maintain quality control procedures
• Cut steel to within specified tolerances for length
• Perform quality checks using measuring tools and meet established production and quality goals
• Maintain a clean and safe work area

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications:

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Must have previous burn or saw experience
• Must be able to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
• Must be able to cut steel to within specified tolerances for length
• Must have the ability to pay attention to details and commitment to quality
• Must have own reliable transportation, a solid work history, and able to work third shift
