We are seeking a dedicated FULL TIME Food Technician to join our team in Brunswick, OH.
The Food Technician is responsible for assisting with all operations of the Product Development R & D Kitchen. This includes the assembly and testing of products, lab ingredients and supply management, sample shipping, R & D Kitchen cleaning, organization, maintenance, and related activities.

- Assists the product development team in the product development process.
- Understands the product development teams’ weekly objectives and organizes tasks to meet timelines as provided by Manager and Sales.
- Prepares, ships, and tracks samples.
- Maintains a clean, organized & professional workstation and shared resource area.
- Generates and maintains accurate and complete records on all tests performed.
- Works independently with little or no supervision and as a member of a team; manages multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Follows company GMP’s (good manufacturing practices), all other quality programs, and strictly adheres to all safety policies.
- Performs manual and automated testing in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures. This includes, when needed, performing physical and chemical analysis of ingredients and/or food products.
- Maintains ingredients/ingredient logs, and test kitchen supplies.
- Organizes and cleans all refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas.
- Effectively communicates with customers, sales account managers and other related departments.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Degree in Food Science or related field, 1-3 years’ experience in food product development, food manufacturing or lab setting – or a combination of education and experience preferred.
- Basic cooking skills and/or restaurant experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, with the flexibility to learn new technology, SAP and ERP systems and document control systems.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or concerns from vendors, coworkers or management.
- Ability to communicate information to vendors, management and co-workers.
- Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication, with vendors, management, and co-workers.
- Ability to perform accurate weigh outs, understand and accurately perform math percentages, addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication as it relates to production.
Monday – Friday 8:00am-5:00pm in person at our Brunswick, OH location
