About This Role

The Assistant Nurse Manager for Post-Surgical Orthopaedic & Spine at Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital is responsible for supporting nursing staff and managing patient care in a 15-bed unit. • Pay: $39.50 - $59.60/hour
• Location: Medina, OH
• Facility: Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital
• Department/Unit: 2 East Unit
• Schedule: Full-time, Night shift

• Support the Nurse Manager with supervising and supporting RNs and other nursing support caregivers.
• Supervise admissions, conduct assessment of patient's needs and initiate nursing care plans.
• Evaluate and document patient progress.
• Facilitate the planning, implementation, development, and evaluation of nursing programs, initiatives, and objectives for the unit.
• Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit.
• Serve as a liaison between the manager, caregivers, and other areas within the organization.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care services in a unit.
• Prepare schedule of work assignments assuring adequate coverage.
• Participate in and support quality improvement projects, outcomes studies, and research initiatives.
• Assist in orienting new caregivers.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required

Experience:

• 2+ years of recent RN experience required
• Previous supervisory experience preferred

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred if in a Critical Care area
