Learn more: As an unarmed, driving patrol officer at a busy healthcare location, you will complete routine rounds and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related issues, and support patients, visitors, and staff with professional customer service.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including corridors, lobbies, waiting areas, parking areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, badge checks, and entry screening procedures as directed by site policy.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspicious activity, and medical-related calls for assistance by notifying clinical teams and/or emergency services.
- Observe and report conditions that may help to reduce risk, including unsecured doors, propped entrances, blocked egress routes, and unauthorized persons in restricted areas.
- Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation using required paper and/or electronic systems.
- Support de-escalation efforts when interacting with individuals who may be upset or confused, and request additional resources when needed.
- Assist with way finding and general information requests while maintaining awareness of security-related concerns in public and patient care areas.
- Operate security-related equipment such as radios, CCTV systems, and access control devices according to post orders.
- Coordinate with hospital staff and local responders during emergencies, drills, and other unusual events, following established procedures and chain of command.
- Help maintain orderly vehicle and pedestrian flow in parking areas and at entrances during peak periods and special events as assigned.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct, comply with confidentiality expectations in a healthcare location, and follow all Allied Universal policies and site-specific requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Hospital site requires vaccines.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required per client requirements.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
