Journeyman/Apprentice Pipefitter Medina, OH
MIELKE Mechanical, Inc. is currently searching for a full-time Journeyman/Apprentice Pipefitter to join their team in Medina, Ohio!

- Pay: $26 - $40/hour, offer dependent on experience
- Monday to Friday
- Full time
- 8-hour shift
- Experience commensurable to qualify as a journeyman Plumber/Pipefitter, with experience commonly obtained after ten (10) years of actual field work in the trade, which may have included apprenticeship and/or applicable vocational training. The trade for this purpose shall include work normally performed by Pipe fitters, Pipefitter Welders, Refrigeration Mechanics, Sprinkler Fitters, Plumbers and Millwrights
- Ability to travel to job sites throughout the United States and spend multiple weeks onsite as required to complete projects
- Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and a working knowledge of project scheduling software
- Communicate clearly verbally, in handwriting, and electronically
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of industrial/commercial mechanical construction manner of working and exceptional jobsite management skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills;
Able to effectively allocate and develop resource - Read, understand, and apply mechanical and pressure piping codes
- Read and understand both specifications and blueprints
- Recognize safety hazards and have working knowledge of proper safety procedures required
- Clear communication skills
- Layout, fabricate, assemble, and install carbon and stainless-steel piping for industrial processing systems.
- Perform mathematical calculations related to the manipulation of angles, such as rolling offsets, cutbacks of fittings, and takeout between welds and other fits.
- Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipelines using pressure gauges, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.
- Prep material for welding by utilizing application appropriate cutting implements
- Follow blueprints (iso) to construct and install related piping and operation systems
- As required, assist fabrication/inventory warehouse with inspection of material and equipment received and maintenance of stored equipment
- Participate in on-going training and career development
- Directly manage job costs on all projects to ensure consistent profitability and make changes when needed
- Maintain safe work environment by establishing and enforcing MIELKE safety policies and procedures; ensure compliance with federal, state and local jurisdiction
