This role focuses on installing round and square ductwork on commercial construction projects, such as apartment complexes and various commercial buildings, typically located within an hour of Cleveland. You work a daytime schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a 30‑minute lunch and a 15‑minute morning break, supporting new construction activities and collaborating closely with site teams to complete duct installation safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities- Install round and square ductwork in new commercial construction projects, including apartment complexes and various commercial buildings.
- Run ductwork in framed and roughed‑in rooms based on direction from supervisors and project leads.
- Use basic blueprints or layout instructions, as needed, to understand duct routes and connection points.
- Measure, align, and secure duct sections to ensure proper fit, function, and airflow.
- Connect and install duct systems according to project specifications, safety standards, and local codes.
- Collaborate with other team members on site, assisting with tasks as needed to ensure projects are completed on time.
- Maintain and use hand tools such as tape measures, levels, and wrenches safely and correctly.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE and adherence to site rules and procedures.
- Travel to job sites within approximately a one‑hour radius of Cleveland using reliable transportation.
- Keep work areas organized and clean, and report any issues or hazards to supervisors promptly.
- Demonstrated experience installing round and/or square ductwork in new construction settings.
- Ability to install and connect ductwork when shown a framed or roughed‑in room and given direction on routing.
- Familiarity with basic blueprints or the ability to follow layout instructions for duct runs, even if not required to read complex plans independently.
- Reliable transportation to reach commercial construction projects within approximately one hour of Cleveland.
- Ability to work effectively as a team player, supporting coworkers and contributing to overall project completion.
- Proficient use of basic hand tools, including tape measures, levels, and wrenches.
- Commitment to following safety procedures and wearing required PPE on job sites.
Skills & Qualifications
- Prior hands‑on experience in HVAC, duct installation, or sheet metal work on commercial construction projects.
- Comfort working on multiple project types, including apartment complexes and various commercial buildings.
- Willingness to receive on‑the‑job training and learn additional installation techniques and construction practices.
- Strong work ethic and dependability, with consistent attendance and readiness to work scheduled hours.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Medina, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
