Duct Installer
This role focuses on installing round and square ductwork on commercial construction projects, including apartment complexes and various commercial buildings within approximately one hour of Cleveland. You will work as part of a field crew to run duct in framed and roughed-in spaces, ensuring accurate installation and alignment while supporting the team with whatever is needed to complete each project. The schedule runs from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., including a 30-minute lunch and a 15-minute morning break.
Responsibilities- Install round and square ductwork in new commercial construction projects such as apartment complexes and commercial buildings.
- Run duct in framed and roughed-in rooms after being shown the layout and directed where the duct should be installed.
- Use basic blueprints or layout directions, when provided, to determine duct placement and routing, even if full blueprint reading is not required.
- Measure, align, and secure duct sections to ensure proper fit, support, and function throughout the system.
- Use hand tools such as tape measures, levels, and wrenches to complete duct installation accurately and safely.
- Assist with general tasks on the jobsite as needed to help the team complete projects on time and to quality standards.
- Follow safety guidelines and use required personal protective equipment while working on active construction sites.
- Travel to project locations within approximately one hour of Cleveland as assigned.
- Prior experience installing round and/or square ductwork in new construction environments.
- Ability to be shown a roughed-in or framed room and determine how to connect and install duct based on direction provided.
- Familiarity with basic commercial HVAC duct installation practices.
- Ability to use common hand tools such as tape measures, levels, and wrenches during installation.
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to help with any tasks needed to complete the job.
- Reliable transportation to travel to various project sites within about one hour of Cleveland.
- Ability to work a 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. schedule with a 30-minute lunch and a 15-minute morning break.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working on commercial construction projects, including apartment complexes and other commercial buildings.
- Comfort working under direction when shown a framed or roughed-in room and receiving guidance on where to run duct.
- Basic familiarity with reading or interpreting simple blueprints or layouts, even if not required as a core skill.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure duct is properly aligned, supported, and securely installed.
- Dependable work habits and consistent attendance for ongoing, long-term projects.

This role is based on commercial construction sites, primarily within approximately a one-hour radius of Cleveland, working on apartment complexes and various commercial buildings. The standard schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., including a 30-minute lunch and a 15-minute morning break. You will use tools such as tape measures, levels, and wrenches to complete duct installations. The position requires wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, including steel-toe boots and jeans, with safety vests, hard hats, and high-visibility gear provided as needed.
Work is performed in active construction environments, which may involve varying weather conditions, noise, and physical activity throughout the day.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Medina, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
